Writer’s Playtime

The Volley, 180 Leith Walk, Tuesday 28th October, 7pm – 9pm

Join us for our first ever guided workshop, where you can explore your creativity in a relaxed pub setting! Step into the spaces where one world blurs into another – the thresholds, crossings, and hidden places where transformation takes place.

Through playful prompts, activities and guided exercises, you’ll write your way into:

• Liminal landscapes – doorways, borders, and in-between places.
• Lives in transition – characters caught between cultures, identities, or states of being.
• Otherworldly crossings – slipping through the veil between life and death, dream and waking, light and shadow.
• Colliding realities – when two worlds bleed into each other, what emerges in the overlap?

No experience is needed, just curiosity and imagination. You might come away with eerie ghost encounters, tales of parallel universes, or poetic reflections on the unseen.
